Engagement Hub
Educate, Guide and Inspire
-
2,500 Target number of pupils interactions (STEM) per annum
-
25 Target number of Construction Careers Information, Advice & Guidance events per annum
The aim of our Engagement Hub is to deliver activities which educate, support and inspire school pupils to engage with the construction sector and to consider future careers in construction and the built environment.
Here are just some of the activities within the hub:
- Presentations and site visits: our Construction Ambassadors can deliver health & safety presentations to all school year groups and if local to a Wynne Construction project, we can organise site visits.
- Contextual Learning: we can deliver workshops utilising the Go Construct EDUCATE in partnership with the schools and your staff for KS1 to KS4. This is a series of contextual learning projects which fully align with the New Curriculum for Wales. This include lesson plans, resources, and delivery presentations.
- GCSE/A Level curricula support: our project Design & BIM Manager can host virtual workshops, using real projects as a flexible, live learning tool. This will provide pupils who are considering a career in construction, engineering or architecture with a deeper appreciation and understanding of 21st Century construction.
- We can support events such as “Choose your Future” organised by Careers Wales.
- Literacy and numeracy: we can host interactive workshops to support the Estyn literacy and numeracy framework and emphasise the importance of maths.
